Last Transfer!

MOMMA!!

Not gonna lie it's getting harder and harder to spend time emailing on Mondays haha, all I want to do is spend my time hanging out with other missionaries since so many people are leaving! But, here I am.

It sounds like girls camp was a really good time this year! Glad you guys got to go paddle boarding and what not, it's been a while since I've done that!

This past week was good, we weren't able to find anyone new still, but we did get to see Beatriz and some of our other investigators and recent converts we are working with. So what's new is we got transfers going on and I'm actually staying with my comp which is awesome!!! But the districts are being all changed up and so are a lot of companionships, there are 3 or more people in this zone going home in the next week and other people that are just getting transfered.

So in my personal study I've also gone over that talk by Pres Nelson on personal revelation, they gave that out to us last week in church for one of the classes, and I'm in 3rd Nephi for the Book of Mormon in Spanish and I hope to be finishing that soon, hopefully before I come home. I also got to watch the youth broadcast which was awesome!

Lucky, you guys going to the beach for the 4th!!! Ya that time sounds good, but honestly any time sounds good to go to the beach haha! I already sent all the pictures for the week so I'll try and be better about taking pictures!! LOVE YOU!!!

Hey cool story. We went to a baptism for our zone leaders and the guy giving a talk on the Holy Ghost (Brandon) was a guy who I waved to on the street over a year ago. He came over and approached us and asked about who we were and if there were programs for him like activities and stuff. #ysarocks and so we introduce him to the ysa missionaries, and this was all back in Concord. He got baptized super quick after learning about the gospel and then he ended up moving to Antioch or something. And I only ever got to see him like 2 times and he didn't really know me, but in his talk he talked about the Holy Ghost and how it guided him to a missionary (turned out to be me) and then to Elder Bills (the other missionary in the pic) who was the ysa missionary at the time and he taught Brandon. So he introduced us again and it was a really cool experience! After the baptism he spoke at we left at the same time and I invited him to Jimmy John's with us because I have hecka gifts cards and so I got to pay for his dinner!

Blurry pic, but playing card on P-day.

Flight Info!
Beatriz and Elder Vainuku and I at the Visitors Center
MOMMA

That's so crazy that you've got my flight info home!! No, it doesn't bother me that you talk about me going home, haha I'm pretty excited about it lol! So we have 2 weeks with the Frandsens still, then we'll have a new mission president! I'm still in Antioch with my comp for the week at least, but I think we'll probably stay together for 1 more transfer which is good!

And this week went pretty well for the work, we weren't able to find any new investigators this week, but we met with Beatriz once at Starbucks and then we went with her to the visitors center in Oakland which was super awesome, and after that she came to our branches activity and she really enjoyed that! She also came to church with us yesterday which was a really good service and the classes were good as well so she's doing awesome, we hope the Lord continues providing a way for her to make it to church!

I was unaware brother Glenn was in our bishopric, that's so cool! Is Mason excited to be speaking with me? Oh something I thought of was I got invited to Sam McBrides wedding over Facebook, I think I can go to that because it's the 17 of Aug!!

Anywho, it's been a good week here everything is all good and I'll send pictures later because we are going to Oakland for a barbeque with some other zones as like a going away thing for the Frandsens.

So, here are some of us at the marina we do service at, we got to ride on this boat thing that eats up all of the water plants to keep it clean there. It is probably ok with the rules that we rode it๐Ÿ˜‰

Here is a screen shot of the video Brig sent.
"here's a video of us going to lunch with Raul at the flee market (la pulga)"

June 11, 2018

Heyo
Brig sent a video of him and Elder Vainuku and the Sister missionaries eating a whole habanero pepper and keeping it down for 2 minuets with no reaction. It was hilarious and very painful for Brig! The last comment he makes on the video is ..."um milk"๐Ÿ˜‚
MOMMA!!!

So this was a pretty good and crazy week! So we are still teaching Beatriz and she is doing really well with her progress and all, but is still passing through some tough trials with her kind of recent divorce. Somehow she didn't end up with custody of her son and now doesn't have permission to see him without supervision which is so sad. And since she lives alone now and works during the weeks she refuses to stay at home the weekends and spends the weekend at her mom's, but this past week the dad of her child dropped the son off at her mom's house and so now she can't go there and so she's pretty upset about that whole situation. But, on the bright side she was finally able to come to church and it was a really good Sunday, so I'm pretty grateful for that!!

We were sitting there in sacrament meeting singing the sacrament hymn and the 1st counselor texts me asking if I can speak for 5 minutes. HA! so I did and I think it was the least nervous I've been while speaking in front of people (I was still nervous) but it went well. Another fun/extremely painful thing that happened this week was that me, my comp and the sisters in our branch all ate an entire habanero pepper at a members house and HOLY COWS!! The experience seemed to last for days and it was the first time I made myself throw up ever (later that night) but I stopped because it became spicy again hahaha WOW!

But hey it sound like everyone enjoyed their time in SD, and I guess if the plan is indoor skydiving when I get home, I might be able to wait a little while before going to the beach... today we are going to a trampoline park which should be fun! I didn't take a lot of pictures so I'll see if I can send some throughout the day! Love you!!!

Doing exchanges in a bike area

Got a haircut and ate at Wendy's

Short, but Sweet
This little kid was with me on splits with the member, his name is Zaylen.
MOMMA!!!

This weeks been pretty good, we got to visit a potential investigator in the hospital who we found tracting. It turns out her mom is actually a member and her daughter is very crippled from a car accident when she was 6 and now she is 16 and isn't doing good so the mom, our potential investigator, is staying in the hospital untill she gets better. And we got her hospital number and all that from our ward mission leader who visited her because he knows the Grandma. She was super happy to see us and really enjoyed our visit. So she isn't exactly an investigator yet, but it was just really nice to visit someone and hopefully improve there day. We also talked to the nurse that came in and she and the mom asked a bunch of questions about mission life and the nurse was very impressed with our Spanish. So it was just an over all good visit. We did not get to watch any of Pres. Nelson's youth broadcast, but I've heard good things!
Love you MOM!!!

We had an amazing dinner yesterday!
Here is Marcelo from SF, saw him in Oakland
We had a good service moving wood from this dock place to the dumpster.

Headed out to get groceries on P-day

Summer Time

So I think you're driving up to SD right now, so that's awesome, we are just chillin in our apartment right now so I thought I'd start working on my email!

My birthday was actually super good!! Juan Cahuas came from SF by uber which took him a little more than an hour, so that he could go out to dinner with us and 1 other companionship. We had some pretty good burgers! Pictures will come soon through messenger, the burger is HUGE and I finished it all, and the fries๐Ÿ˜Ž not sure if that's good or bad though haha. But when we all come back we need to hit up this place and y'all can try the Willie burger challenge.

I got your package on Wednesday but I haven't gotten Grammy's stuff yet, was it sent to Oakland maybe? Thanks for all of the good pics this week of graduation and everything, sometimes people send me pics and they don't make it through and sometimes they do make it through, so you need to teach people how you do it!

But hey just make sure you take and send pictures once you get to SD so I can look at the condo once you get there! I hope your drive goes smoothly today!! Love you!!

Elder Jensen and I after sports Saturday, he brought his lax sticks and we passed the whole time!

Elder Vainuku and I are at a wedding for a recent convert and her member husband here at the church.
