Another Great Week at the CCM

Our first picture of Elder Dayton in Mexico- Mexico City Temple
(taken from another Elder's camera because he can't figure out his)

Hey Momma! so the days at the CCM are pretty consistent as well, we have personal study in the morning, then breakfast then language study then progressing investigator which is where we teach lessons in Spanish, then we have TALL which is technology assisted language learning which is super boing!! Then we usually have lunch and some gym time where i destroy in foosball then we have class, another progressing investigator, sometimes fundamental doctrine stuff then dinner followed by personal language study and companionship study, then we go home and everyone comes and chills in Elder Jolley and my room till about 10:20 and thats a usual day.
Thats so awesome that your going to the temple!! the Mexico City Temple is so sick!! There's escalatores in it!! We did a session and yes it was all in Spanish haha, those Latino names can be very long sometimes haha. Elder Jolley is doing great!! His spanish is on point, for some of the kids in my district I question why i didnt grow up with them because we are exactly the same! I dont know anyone else from home at the CCM right now but let me know if anyone is coming!
Oh man i wish i brought an umbrella hahaha, it rained every day at least once for the first two weeks haha. but other than that im good, i just want some more chapstick, the food here is awesome, they do there best to try to give us something similar to an American option alongside a mexican option, like almost every day they have tamalis here for breakfast hahaha gross. I havent used my debit card yet! I hope it wont be declined because im in Mexico haha. I miss my guitar so much!!! Like almost to tears miss it, i can feel the tips of my fingers loosing their caluses and its so depressing!
I think a really cool lesson i learned this past week is, it's better to be trusted than to be loved, God loves all of his children unconditionaly but he doesnt trust all of his children the same way so try and be trustworthy of the lord.
Oh and if you want to send me a package you can do it through mtcmexicocarepackage.com  im not sure how it works but its safe so if you wanted to figure out how to send me some crispy creme that would be awesome. I think the send it from one near me or something like that! and you can send me a letter every day through dearelder.com and they print it out and put it in our mailbox. just something i thought youd want to know about but you dont have to do any of it!! Oh and for a story, this week Elder Jolly and i were showering and we left our window and door open, and the front door was open, so a draft shut our door locking us out in our towells for like 20 min hahaha, our DL went and got us a master key.
Love you and everyone else!!! I cant figure out the camera yet but as soon as i do ill send something!!

Brig's First Official Letter!

Hey Momma!!
So to answer your questions, i think there were about 20ish missionarys on our flight which was cool, we got a charter bus to the mtc which was crazy!! Driving in other coutries is kind of scary haha. So my comps name is Elder Jolly, like the Christmas time, and he's awesome!! He's from Idaho near Boise and he played lacrosse and likes almost everything I do so its awesome!! Spanish is going pretty good, we taught an investigator on day two so that was pretty fun haha. I did not join the choir haha i feel like i need all the time i can get in the class for now but maybe once i feel more comfortable with the language. There are about 800 missionaries here and the CCM is about 90 acres. CCM is MTC. The president welcomes all of the new missionaries so i kind of got to meet him, he seems chill i guess. I go to the temple today at 12 so 10 for you guys, its an hour drive away so we'll get to see a lot of the city which is cool!! Mexico city is so beautiful you should google images of it!! Tell Ammon i miss him too!! and i hope he kicks butt in soccer!! But over all this place has been a blast!! I really enjoy studying the language and getting to know other people. It is krazy to think how much spanish i know now compared to the first day! I'm thankful for all of the prayers I've been getting ( tell scout thank you for me haha) I love you all so much!

Love Elder Dayton

Here is the letter that Brig sent to Jared

Hey fasha, I loved the letters you guys sent!! It was so cool to see Kyle but now is back in the U.S. The CCM (MTC) is so sick! Everything here is beautiful and i havent had a bad meal yet so thats good. My comp and I get along super well, and so does our district, When they were introducing all of the new missionaries like the day we got here i was the only guy going to Oakland so that's cool, but our whole district is going state side. The latinos are on a 3 week program so we wont get any in our district but its super fun to talk to them. Im actually going to the temple today and two other times while im here.
Love you!!
Brig
