Transferred!!

MOMMA!! 

I'm in RIchmond!! I was pretty sad to leave the ward! It was so sad seeing Betty and Kona cry when I left!! But I am happy and excited to be here in Richmond! The area here is a lot more spread out than San Fran but its good! The work here is a lot better too! I'm with Elder Jones who was also trained by Elder Galaz the transfer before I got in the field, which makes us brothers because the trainers are our dads! He's pretty cool! He is from Utah with a big fam and likes to build stuff! 

I have heard that Richmond is a little more dangerous too, but I haven't seen anything too weird since I've been here. So I think we're good! The ward here seems nice, but its going take a while to get used to the new accents and learn the new names and all that jazz. I got to meet some members at dinners and at church! Oh and we also cover a YSA branch too, and I confirmed someone a member on Sunday which was awesome! 

Haha, yes I did have to do my own laundry this week, but it's ok because this new appartment is very nice and we have a washer and dryer!!!! And for the first time on my mish I don't have to climb three flights of stairs to get to my room!!! and I'm not on the top of a bunk bed!!! and we have a car!!!! It's pretty sweet! I think my new Zone leaders picked up the package you sent from the other Elders that had it, so i should get it soon, thank you!!!

Ah... the Book of Mormon, good book! I seriously can't believe I never set aside some time for myself to read it before my mission. When that's like the greatest tool in convincing people of the truth of Joseph Smith!! Being able to spend so much time reading it here on my mission has definitely convinced me and added to my testimony that Joseph Smith is a prophet and received divine help to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ. I really love this gospel and the opportunity I have to share it!! love you!!!

Lots of Rain in San Fran...

So good to be back on the computer! It did not rain that often here in SF so were doing good! Did you go to the Big Man on campus thing!? Greg emailed me about that! However he didn't tell me what the talents and stuff are so let me know what they were if you went! I can't think of any thing for you to send to Sister Betty though, sorry! And I'm not sure what more I need, I guess just money haha jk but seriously!

 So I actually finished the Book of Mormon a couple of days ago and it was pretty sweet! And this morning I read the beginning of chapter 5 in Matthew so that's crazy awesome that you just read it too! Isn't that about all the blessings and stuff?

Nothing that exciting happened this past week sorry! We went on exchanges during the week and I think the other elders found a new investigator so that's good! We had a lesson with our recent converts the other night about setting goals like reading the Book of Mormon and stuff like that, it was super cool! I feel like I'm finally starting to get better in my Spanish enough to understand almost everything thats going on, especially if it's on a gospel topic haha, dont ask me about any other topic though haha! How's the goal going with reading the Book of Mormon? Love you so much!!! I'll send pics in a sec!

We came up to the top of this building to say that we knocked on the fourth floor last door. because thats like a thing people say when you go tracting and all that good stuff! pretty view too!

I got to do a little email back and forth with Brig today...

Hey ma, this morning we just did studies like normal and then ate some food for lunch and then came to email, so not much, hows the day off been for the boys?

Ok good, its been a couple weeks but its all good! I probably wrote him(Zach) less on his whole mission than he has me on mine so far haha! I told him I was sad Zach moved out...Awe im sorry, im sure its hard but you dont want to be paying for us moochers forever do you? except for me, pay for me forever!!!!!

I actually had no idea there was one here,(I noticed he had a transaction from Jimmy Johns) but it was downtown in some mall food court, I heard about it and as soon as it was my turn to pic where we were going to eat we went there, but its all good!

Haha of course you did! You are my son!! LOVE that! Well, tell Sis Betty thanks for doing you laundry!! I still can’t believe she does that! haha And have the most amazing week!! I love you so dang much and I am so proud of you and all you are accomplishing is San Fran!!

We also went and ate dinner at the bishops house which was super cool! Something that made me sad though is they started arguing on whose turn it was for them to say the prayer! Classic white mormon family stuff haha

Lessons from the Book of Mormon

Im not sure what im doing either, but we went back to the temple!

MOMMA!!

So for the past couple of weeks we went to email at the chapel but for this week and many others we went to the Library! Sorry, but I probably won't do the Book of Mormon challenge with you guys haha, but I encourage you to do it all the way though!! I've been reading the book of mormon for an hour every day and I'm super close to finishing, so I really dont want to start over haha! But you guys should do it! It's such a good book!

So, I'm good on hoodies because Sis Betty bought me one!! Like what the heck why did she do that!! It's like a nice one too!! We see her pretty often and she always asks me why I dont have a sweater on and I always tell her it's because I'm not cold but she bought me one anyways, without asking me haha, she's crazy! But im grateful! So maybe if you're sending some things anyways could you send like a flannel or something, but one that doesnt look like the one that I "wear all the time"?

I miss all of you guys every day here too! Sadly the past week was not successful with the people we had street contacted. But we are going to keep trying! We did however, get a pretty good amount of less active lessons in which is good! 

Today I was reading in the book of Ether about the story of the brother of Jared, who's name by the way is Moriancumer,(not sure if I spelt that right) and when he asked the Lord to touch the stones and then saw His finger the Lord was almost confused and was like wait you can see me? Pretty crazy how much faith he had! Because the Lord had been leading them throught the wilderness for a while but he was always in a cloud and they couldnt see him, so pretty crazy stuff! 

Alright well I'll start sending pictures now! I've got a lot with Juan Cahuas, who is the greatest member ever! Good guy, actually I think I gave him your number haha but I'm not sure?! Anyways Love you!! here come some pics

Jan 1st & 2nd, 2017

Happy New Year!!

Brig got to email us on New Year's Day because of the Holiday the missionaries got an extra half day Pday!! This is his letter on Jan 1st-

MOMMA!!!

How was snow boarding in Utah? I'm not sure if you guys are driving home today or what? Oh and today, because it's New Years Day, it counts as a p day and I can email! So, hope you had a good time in Utah and took some sick pics to send me woot woot!!
I'm doing pretty good here, we have been knocking on a lot of doors recently. One door I went up to, this lady answered and when she did she had like toothpaste around her mouth and she was holding her tooth brush and was like, what do you want? ! and im just like, hey how's it going we're missionaries and were just inviting people to go up to the temple, she stops me mid sentence and says, are you Mormon?! I said yes. and she says Get the &$%* out of the city, kind of an interesting way to say she wasn't interested don't you think? Its pretty funny how anti some people are up here but it's good. 
On the bright side we have found a couple people we are going to start visiting and we hope things go well with them! So I dont have my camera with me today, but I am going to get on tomorrow for a little bit, I think so that I can send pics and stuff. 
How was the break, is everyone ready and happy to go back to school? Where did you guys spend New Years Eve? Hope you took some pics!!

And then these pictures are from New Years Eve when we watched Star Wars (that came out last year) and Zootopia which was actually super good and I hadn't seen it yet but it was fantastic! We just watched them in the Relief society room in the church with the zone, SO FUN!!! LOVE YOU ALL!!!

MOMMA!!

So I don't have a lot of time to email because its getting late for us here, but I'll try and answer your questions! 

So my goals as a missionarry this year are to get through all of the standard works, and teach some people!! 

So, for P-day stuff I can either choose to wear this flannel or a sweatshirt that has an American flag bear on it and says California, so those are my warm wear apparel options that were both free haha, so that's what you always see me wearing. Its ok to wear it that much even though that doesn't follow fashion rules but it's fine with mission rules as long as its non proselyting time. I am still wearing the sweaters I have during those other times! I love that new sweater so much its super awesome!

I am still in the Book of Mormon and haven't been studying it as intensly as I was about a month ago so I think I'll try to study that better as part of my New Year goal.  I don't have many more stories, we've just been walking and talking a lot and we have some potential investigators we are going to try to contact, so I will let you know how that goes next week if you remind me! Love you so much here come the pictures!!!

So the guy with me at the restaurant is Juan Cahua and he is one of the greatest members ever and is from Peru so he took us to a fancy Peruvian restaurant which was super awesome!

The other one is the Spanish missionaries in our district went to get chinese food at some restaurant to say goodbye to some of the missionaries leaving that transfer!

It's Christmas!

So, we got to spend 2 hours talking with Brig!! It was a magical Christmas having him out serving! Of course we miss him, but we are so glad he is where he is, and he has the most amazing ward family in San Francisco!

One Week 'Till Christmas

Momma,

Ok so today's has to be short! I'm sorry!! So things you need to know, skyp day church actually ends at 12 and we will be going to Hermana Betty's after that so maybe around 1 we will be able to skyp! I can email you when I get there to confirm when im going to do it too! 

Hermana Betty loves the gifts so much!! And I love my gifts so much!! But I havent opened my most recent package! I did not hang up the tree so sorry! I shall try and remember to do that once I get back to the apartment!

I love you and Everyone else so much! Tell the boys I miss them! oh and tell Ammon I'm getting into the pokemon card game haha, other elders here have it so I decided to get it and its pretty fun! Ok love you guys I hope you enjoy the pictures!!

So last week we went ice skating and this week went went jumping. there was a ward christmas party which was also a 

good time.
