Hanging in There!
here is me "accidently" locking elder tackett in a supply closet

MOMMA!!!

I for sure have been keeping the Heaps in my prayers along with many others! This past week was pretty good, sadly we lost one of our most hopeful investigators Esperanza! Her husband pretty much told her not to talk to us anymore or let us visit anymore which is so sad because her little boys are so cute and fun to play with! So basically we don't see her at church anymore or anything:( And these past couple of weeks haven't been so succesful in finding people that are that excited about learning the gospel so ya... The spanish feels like it's coming along quite nicely though so thats neat haha, I can pretty much understand anything people say, it's just different people from different countries are really hard to understand sometimes, but it's all good, one day I will understand them all!!

The Zone here is super cool, Elder Silva moved here last transfer and has now moved up to zone leader so that's cool for him, and we pretty much all just have a party all the time! I think my best missionary friend right now would be Elder Kaitoku, he's a pretty funny guy! But the rest of them are cool too, and its nice being in a bro zone (brone/all guy zone) because there are no sisters to hold us back during sports hahaha.

Ya have J Rad save me a spot at UVU haha, I think that'd be a good time, maybe for other people Hunter Brown and I guess there are a couple of guys here in this mish that i might hang out with but I was the only guy from my MTC so I don't really know anyone thats going home at the same time as me. but I will want to see Jack, Jared, Brandon and Max and Sam, and Hunter and Cutter and Payton and Marcus and Cole and EVERYONE!!!

Thank you very much but I don't know if I need any thing $uper bad right now but thank$, oh and $o tran$fer$ will be in about a week, and it'$ weird to think that my brithday i$ coming up $o $oon! I$ mother$ day on the 14th of May? Good luck with your $urgery, I'm $ure everything will go $plended! Keep praying for us to find some new interested investigators! Pictures may come soon if this computer works! Love You!!!

Easter!!!

Here's us at zone conference
MOMMA!!!!

Sorry to disappoint but our Easter was not anything special haha, it was pretty much a totally normal Sunday except for the topic in sacrament meeting. I guess I shouldn't say it was normal because sacrament meeting was fantastic, but other than that just a regular day. Sadly, I wont be able to listen to that song you suggested, because it's not a hymn or motab so ya... But we did not hunt eggs, we had dinner at that Peruvians house which was fun, she is a recent convert and cooked us some good lomo saltado, which is a pretty well know Peruvian dish.

Knowledge of the Plan of Salvation means everything, the Atonement is so crazy, I feel like I have always heard that Christ loves us, but I was really thinking about the atonement last sacrament meeting and I was thinking why would anyone go through so much pain and so much humiliation for me, to rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine,  I just want to use the atonement more in my life because if he already did so much for us, why would I not show my appreciation and try harder to be a better person.

I am glad that you guys had an awesome Easter though, (even if you're letting Taylor take my spot)! I do miss the fam easter egg hunts and our little goody baskets, but I was glad to get a goody box of ties and stuff! It's been a while since I've gotten a new tie, so you have quenched my thirst for now. It's been a good week and a good P-day of climbing on stuff and cleaning the car and apartment, I sure do miss you guys and Love you so much!!!
Here is us eating at this place called Hazels that has some huge burgers

And this was us eating at a Peruvian family's house, good times, good food!

We went and climbed up the church steeple thing and that was a good time

Here's another pic of us going up  the ladder to the steeple

Computer Issues...
MOMMA!!!!
So this computer is so slow and it's really bugging me! But I love you so much and miss you too! So, of the people we found we had tried to go back and visit with them but they were nowhere to be found so that was sad. We did get to go to the temple yesterday for a recent convert testimony meeting where Celeste bore her testimony which was awesome! And today was pretty good, I got a hair cut and we went to a trampoline park, but as for a place we might go to when we return I do not recommend this trampoline park, last on my list of trampoline parks for sure.
I'm actually super glad to her that the results came back negative!(for Liz's cancer scare) I have kept all of you in my prayers this past week and on fast Sunday especially!
And I am doing pretty good about journaling in restaurants that we need to hit up once we return. Are you guys picking me up here?
Sadly we don't do an Easter Pageant because there isn't a big field of grass or anything like that! I will try and send pictures in a second if the computer lets me!! Love You!!

Sadly, the computer kept kicking Brig off and he wasn't able to send pics...:(

General Conference!!

MOMMA!!

So its been a pretty great week and Conference was definitely a highlight!! We got to watch conference in our chapel and they had it going on in English and Spanish there so that was convenient! And because none of our Spanish investigators came to watch with us (crying emoji) we watched it in English, and I think that was a lot more beneficial, not that I wouldn't totally understand the Spanish, but it was nice to hear it in their own voices. I got the general sense that they were talking about the Plan of Salvation and ways to build testimonies a lot, good stuff! If you go back and read or watch Elder Cordon's talk it is the same one he gave us when he came to the San Fran ward a long while ago, so I got to hear his conference talk before it was a conference talk!! I also loved what President Monson said about charity in the priesthood session and about the Book of Mormon, I'm going to definitely step up my BOM reading, I have really been focusing on the bible lately so I'll try and balance that out.

Glad you liked last weeks pics because I slacked this week for pics haha. But I will for sure keep all of you in my prayers as you go through your treatments and are recovering. And I'm glad things are all going well. I liked to see Ammon's team won the relay, was he anchor? And I wish the weather was like it was a couple weeks ago, it definitely is getting hotter now and for some unknown reason my shirts are shrinking or something because they seem to just keep getting tighter haha!

This past week we have spent a little bit more time on finding, because we have had to drop some of our investigators, but it's ok because we found a lot of new people that seemed pretty interested last week so that is awesome!! We are still working with Esperanza and her family (little dabbing boys) but they are progressing slowly. The members always do an awesome job of feeding us for dinners and it is usually super good cultural food, and my spicy tolerance has gone way up haha! I do get to cook myself breakfast and lunch though which is pretty cool, I made myself some bomb chicken a little while back which was fun, and I didn't get sick from it, so I guess I cooked it all the way through haha. And sadly pokemon was kind of banned, so I don't play it anymore haha, but it was good while it lasted!! I've been studying the bible a lot so I haven't given too much priority for BOM reading but that's changing with the counsel of the Prophet haha I'll just be reading it in Spanish now haha. Hopefully that promise comes true and I will be fluent by the end of it! I'll let you guys know! And I think choosing to read the book of mormon for a certain amount of time is much more useful than by chapter because you will be reading for comprehension instead of completion! Anyways I'll send the few pics I have in a second!
Love You!!!!

here's a neat pic with Jessie

Seven Months Out!

Here is us with the mini missionary right before he left.
MOMMA!!!

Sounds like ammon is having a great time in 6th grade! Is he excited to go to junior high school? And of course he rocked the house with the worm!!! Good times! So, I guess somthing new here in Richmond is that Celeste's mom started investigating, but she is pretty devout to her faith, so we'll see how that goes. Also Saturday night Celeste told us that she just broke it off with her fiance and she isn't doing to well, and he is the one that introduced her to the church so we hope she puts her trust in God and keeps moving forward.

This week did go by super fast, I remember on Saturday we went to visit this family that has 3 boys in the YSA, 2 a little less active, and we get there and it had felt like we just stopped by the other day, but it was actually a week ago that we had stopped by so that was weird. We are working with Esperanza and her family and they are doing alright. And then we are teaching Alex from the YSA who is dating the Spanish Ward's bishop's daughter, haha. And he's doing alright, his mom is Catholic so he doesn't want to join and then "abandon" her because he feels like that is what he would be doing, which is understandable.

I did get the package with my treats thank you, and the goldfish were very nice I'm still working on them and on the m&ms so thank you for that!! I think I am good for right now, maybe a nice umbrella? idk if the rain season is passing, but I always come across broken umbrellas which are great so ya that would be cool but its probably not worth sending a whole other package haha. But ya it rains every now and then but its not too bad so I'm good:)

So this week we got to go to the temple for a recent convert testimony thing called Porque Yo Creo (why i believe) and Celeste was going to speak but wasn't feeling up to it, but we really wanted to go and we found someone! This girl Rosa has been inactive for about 2 years-ish and she approched some English missionaries and asked if they spoke Spanish and so those missionaries got us her information and she came to church on Sunday and then later that day we invited her to come with us and she did and it was a jolly good time! But ya it was a pretty good week! I'll try and send some pics in a second!! Love you!!!!

so the two older ones are Esperanzas kids and the yonger one is Beto and Yurico's son Levi who is so cute!!!

I also bought a little cactus to remind me of home, hehe
