San Francisco!

MOMMA!! 

Ya im in the city right now at 22nd and Mission living in an apartment. Its just Elder Galaz and I over there but it's all good!! We got a cool little basketball hoop to go on my bunk bed haha. He's been out for 10 months now and is our district leader so thats pretty cool! We hang out with the other district leaders as much as possible because they're so funny!! They're from Detroit and Ethiopia! Every week we got to the Daly City chapel for our Spanish Ward which is super cool! Im actually giving a talk in like 2 weeks and my comp gave one last week so woot woot! The members of the ward are pretty awesome but we dont know too many of them right now so were just working on getting to know them, and let me tell ya, those Spanish names are so hard to remember!! Anyways its good to hear the boys are off roading and having a good time in Utah! I've got my camera here with me so im going to try my hardest to get some pictures sent to you guys!! Love all of the pictures I'm getting from you, so if this doesnt work dont stop sending!!!! haha 

The city is awesome and the people are pretty cool, not always the nicest and not always strait, but im having a great time!! If you could get me a thumb drive with a ton of songs on it, only hymnns or renditions of hymns are allowed so like BYU vocal point is good or MoTab and get this one mash up of Come thou fount and If you could hie to Kolob sung by some girls or something!! its way good too. All the music down here is worked through thumb drives! But I think thats it for now!! Love you so much and tell the others I love them so much!! I'm going to try and figure out this camera now!!!

Elder Dayton's In the Field!

Momma!! 

Ya its been a long time since I've emailed!! It's crazy busy over here in San Fan, just in case you all didnt know that was my first area! My new dad is Elder Galaz, he was born in Mexico and then moved to Colorado, so he knows English and Spanish super great, so it's awesome!! We've done lots of walking and biking and riding the bart, which is like the underground bus thing. So it's been super awesome so far! We went to a members house and her daughter is like super in-active and hadn't gone to church in a year and we got her to go the other day which was super awesome!! So we're going to be working real hard with her! There was only 2 investigators in this area and Elder Galaz and I tried visiting them but neither of them answered so we'll have to keep working on that!! As for sending me a jacket, ya I think that would be awesome! It would be cool if you guys could send another Alertec bottle too!! Today was pretty sweet, we got together and had some hamburgers and then played soccer so it was pretty sick today!! Sorry I'm way short on time!! Love you guys so much!!

2 Days to Go in the MTC

Jeez, nobody had faith in me to remember you birthday hahaha!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!! I love you so much you´re the best mom in the world!! 

Conference was so sick!! I don't have my notes with me but, the Japanese guy´s talk was incredible!! And I cant wait to find out my reason for being called where I've been called! His was probably one of my favorites! 

So my time here is getting pretty short, already said goodbye to four incredible guys that all left for LA this morning at like 2:30am. Tonight I've got to say goodbye to my comp, which is gonna suck!! Yesterday we all gave our comps blessings and it was really cool to be able to do that for the first time, not knowing how it would go, but knowing it was for someone I love and care about. I wasn't too nervous about it. 

I think I've got some pictures right now that I´ll send to you in a second and more that are on their way of the whole district.

Ya I wish the boys could be there when I call but you´ll just have to tell them how much I flipping love them!! Even though they already know it! So im flying to LA with at least three other people and then to Oakland with two other people that are in my same mission!! That´s it for now i think! I´ll send you those pics in a second!!

 Surprise Pday Mid Week!

Momma!! 

Wassup so I've got early p day  because i leave next week!

I FINALLY added you to my list of people that i group email! Even though its not as cool! So not much has happened this week! Good devotionals, good classes, lots of learning and other stuff!! Im excited to go play some volleyball in a little bit too!! 

At our devotional one of the 70 told us this sick story about the power of prayer which was super awesome! Oh and you should watch this video on John Tanner if you get the chance its super sick!! But ,its kind of long. 

Anyways I'll send some pics if anyone has some of me, and then I'll either buy a new camera in a week or figure it out once I'm in Cali. 

You should send me some pics of Mason and homecoming and if Ammon had a game send some of those!!

I miss you guys and love you so much. I still have one more p day before i get back to the states which will be on Monday and probably some of Tuesday too but idk for sure. 

Oh and heres that story from the mass email... So my comp is a good artist and i had him try to shave the bat man symbol into my chest haha, i need just a little bit more hair to be able to do that though because now there is just this funny looking hairless spot in the middle of my chest haha!!

So that totally threw me for a loop today!! Daddy and I just walked in from going to the temple and I get this awesome sweet surprise that you’re on Pday! 
So sorry that I don’t have a letter waiting for you in your in box!! All morning I was thinking how you will be traveling back to the US next week!! I am so excited for that!! And if you have another pday next Monday that is the best birthday present I could ask for!!
I got you a memory card thing for the camera, and I am going to put it in the mail today for Okland. That way when you get there you will have it! I also wrote your cousin Devin and she has the same camera, I will forward to you what she says about the camera and how to work it, hopefully that works, if not you will need to buy a new one in CA! But lets try the memory card thing first!
It sounds like you and Elder Jolly have a blast together!! That is awesome!! I am so glad that you have had an amazing MTC experience!! I can hardly believe that you are already headed back to the US, I am just a little bit grateful for that!! 
I will be sending you a tone of pics in a min- Please please write agin today if you get this, just a quick note so I know you got it. And try to find a pic with you in it or have someone take a few of you!! A FEW PICTURES PLEASE!! I know it’s a pain because your own camera won’t work, but tell them they are doing their daily good service for you momma!!

Hola!!

So I've got an early p day because i head back to the states soon!! This week has been great!! I'm done with all of my fake investigators here so the next time i teach will be for reals!!! Super stoked for conference as well🙏  

Story time, So my comp is a good artist and i had him try to shave the batman symbol into my chest haha, i need just a little bit more hair to be able to do that though, because now there is just this funny looking hairless spot in the middle of my chest haha!! 

I get one more p day here before i leave but untill then enjoy the rest of your weeks!!!

Week 4 in the MTC

This is just right outside the front door of our dorm so its pretty sick, and all the buildings on the mountain in the background, ya it looks like that everywhere. It"s super beautiful here!

HAHA ya seriously its crazy right!! (I asked him if he could believe he'd been gone this long?!)

Well technically i've been out for almost three different months now haha. Those pics were sick!! (talking about pictures I sent him) I'm going to have the people that took pictures with me in them send them to me so i can send them to you! If you mail something traditionally it wont arrive here for another 4 weeks as far as i've been told. 

HAHA ya, that doesn't surprise me since he tries to talk and make friends with every girl here hahaha.(He's talking about Elder Fonotisatele from his last pictures, I let him know that one of his Utah cousins knows him) Alright I'll try to remember  to do that if i have time!!(Add me to his group email) 

I teach at least one "investigator" (they´re fake) every day. Spanish is good!! I've got most of the lessons down in Spanish and i know enough words to talk my way around the ones i dont know so thats pretty cool! The temple was dope as always!! It is so cool going through in a different language i just love it!! Its about a 30 min drive but, there isnt too much to see on the way there! Being able to play volleyball is so sick!!Ok get this, so my district leader went to highland high and he was at a summer semester at BYU, one time when Zach W and i were playing foosball in his lobby in budge hall this kid opened his mission call while we were playing and he was going to the CCM the same day I was so i was like hey thats cool maybe ill see him once im there! And I only realized it was him like last week!! super weird totally blew my mind! Anyways, ya Jolly plays sometimes but he likes to play basketball more. 

There are 10 elders and 2 sisters so 12 of us in my district!  One of the sisters in my district is going to oakland but thats the only one i know of. So i guess we´ll be going at the same time. We got to hear from a couple of general authorities this past week and i think the best principal I learned from one of the stories is that in times of trial we can go to the temple to find peace and comfort.

I hope he has a great time!!(Talking about Mason going to homecoming) Homecoming was sick!!

Ya Satans the pits but i do pray for all of you every night!! We had one of the seventy come and speak to us too!! And then later that night he came to our classroom and talked to us for a while, told us how to say "weird noise" in spanish hahaha. Sorry if this email is confusing i was just responding as i read it but I hope they enjoy their week end!! Tell ammon good luck for me!!(In soccer)

MTC Week 3

Hey Momma!! 

It's stopped raining all the time now so i think im good here for a while but, ya idk the weather in Oakland​?! But, ya i got some chapstick from the tienda so its all good there! People get packages all the time here so its totally fine i was really happy to get the donuts and so was my district haha!! However i did not get a letter so idk what happened :/ esta bien! 

I think what ive noticed the most this week was when we put in the work God will bless us, This week my comp and i have been able to teach some pretty good lessons in spanish and I can totally feel my self improving all the time so its really cool to see that blessing this past week for me!! 

And im really sorry but the camera really will not work!! It can't attach pictures when plugged in and I can't get a password for the wifi here so for Mason make sure he just has a normal one haha, I'll try to send pics from other peoples cameras too!! 

Tell PK and Rudd i say happy birthday!! I miss all the little ones!! And thanks for the scripture reference!! I'll definitely have to go mark that one!! This week has been pretty sweet but they feel so fast!!! Nothing too special happened this week, oh we did get hear from a couple general authorities sunday and tusday but that feels so long ago! But no funny stories! Just good times with the district and learning the language! I love you and mi hermanos! I pray for you guys everynight!! I hope you had a good scripture study today!!

Hola!!

I hope your weeks went well and you´ve got some dope plans for the weekend!! This past week has been so sick!! Ive got almost all of the lessons down in spanish and i get to play volley ball almost every day!!! We also got to hear from two General Authorities this past week which is so sick!! Its crazy how incredibly strong their testimonies are as special witnesses of Christ. You can totally feel the spirit in the room when they´re talking!! I still dont have any crazy stories yet but just wait until I get back to the states and Ill have some more interesting stuff to write about. And if my camera was able to send pictures I totally would so Im sorry about that!! Ill send some as soon as I figure out how to work the dang thing! Keep my updated on anything crazy going on in your lives I love hearing stories from you guys!

Brig's Group Email

Hola todos! Just a quick update because i dont have that much time! Im doing great and learning lots, the haircuts here are so short!! Shortest my hair has ever been haha and if i knew how to use my camera i would totally send some pics but i cant get it to cooperate! My district is still getting along really well so thats cool!! Last Tuesday our Latino friends that didn't know any english left which was super sad! Its crazy to thing im already half way done with my time here in the CCM! It'll be sad leaving my district, but i am excited to get back to America and have some real mexican food, like taco bell!! Hope you guys are all doing great. Remember that its better to be trusted than to be loved, god loves everyone but his trust has to come through our righteous actions. Love you guys!!
